2. Appointments & Booking
We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and technician. Our booking policies are:
- Advance Booking: Online booking and phone reservations are available during business hours
- Confirmation: All appointments will be confirmed via phone, email or text message
- Walk-Ins: Welcome based on availability, though scheduled appointments take priority
- Group Bookings: Special arrangements are available for parties, bridal groups and events — contact us in advance
- Minor Clients: Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or provide written consent prior to services
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
24-Hour Notice Required: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid fees. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a 50% service charge.
Late Arrivals: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened service or rescheduling depending on availability.
No-Shows: Clients who do not attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will be charged the full service amount.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Pricing: Service prices are subject to change. Current pricing will be confirmed at time of booking and before service begins
- Payment Due: Full payment is required at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance
- Accepted Forms: We accept cash, major credit/debit cards and valid gift cards
- Gratuities: Tips are appreciated but entirely at the client's discretion
- Package Services: Multi-service packages must be used within the specified validity period
4. Gift Cards & Promotions
- Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash
- Gift cards do not expire but must be presented at time of service
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced
- Promotional offers and discounts may not be combined unless explicitly stated
- Promotional pricing is subject to availability and may carry restrictions
- Group discounts may be available for parties of 4 or more — inquire when booking
5. Health & Safety
The health and safety of our clients and staff is our highest priority.
- Medical Disclosure: Notify us of any medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities or medications prior to your appointment
- Pregnancy: Inform us if you are pregnant, as certain treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy
- Contagious Conditions: Clients presenting with contagious skin or nail conditions will be rescheduled to protect staff and other clients
- Sanitation: We follow strict sanitation protocols and use hospital-grade disinfectants throughout our facility
- Equipment Sterilization: All reusable tools are properly sterilized or disposed of between clients
- Regulatory Compliance: We comply with all applicable California state and local health department regulations

6. Client Responsibilities
To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, clients are expected to:
- Arrive clean and prepared for their scheduled services
- Remove nail polish before manicure/pedicure appointments unless removal is included in the booked service
- Disclose all relevant health information, allergies and sensitivities
- Follow aftercare instructions provided by technicians
- Treat staff and fellow clients with respect and courtesy at all times
- Supervise children at all times while on premises
- Keep personal belongings secure — we are not responsible for lost or stolen items
7. Refunds & Satisfaction Policy
Your satisfaction matters to us. We handle concerns on a case-by-case basis:
- Service Issues: Contact us within 48 hours of your appointment if you are not satisfied, and we will work to resolve the issue
- No Monetary Refunds: We do not provide cash refunds for services rendered. Service adjustments or complimentary corrections may be offered at management discretion
- Allergic Reactions: Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if you experience an allergic reaction. Notify us so we can assist in resolving the matter
- Retail Products: Unopened products in their original condition may be exchanged within 7 days with receipt
8. Liability & Risk Acknowledgment
- Herbal Nails & Spa – Whittier is not responsible for allergic reactions or adverse side effects resulting from services or products when relevant health information has not been disclosed
- We are not liable for lost, stolen or damaged personal property left on the premises
- By receiving services, clients acknowledge that nail and beauty services carry inherent risks and agree to accept those risks
- Our liability is limited to the direct cost of the service received
- Clients with specific medical conditions should consult their physician before receiving services

10. Facility Rules & Conduct
- Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the facility
- Food and open beverages are not permitted in treatment areas
- Please keep phone conversations brief and at low volume to maintain a relaxing environment for all clients
- Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times
- We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who is disruptive, under the influence, or behaves inappropriately toward staff or other clients
- Photography of staff or other clients without explicit permission is prohibited
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website including text, images, logos, graphics and designs is the property of Herbal Nails & Spa – Whittier and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution or use of any content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
